Figueroa will stay at St. John's and take his name out of the transfer portal, Zach Braziller of the New York Post reports.

Figueroa had originally committed to St. John's to play for Chris Mullins, but once he was fired, the 6-foot-6 sophomore put his name into the transfer portal to explore outside possibilities. After spending time in the portal, the elite scorer has taken his name out and will return to the Red Storm, now lead by new coach Mike Anderson. After averaging 14.4 points and 6.4 rebounds last season in his first year with the team, he'll look to take a step forward in year two and expand on an already impressive skill set.

Figueroa has placed his name in the transfer portal, Jeff Borzello of ESPN.com reports.

With head coach Chris Mullin stepping down from his head coaching position, Figueroa will look into finding a home at a new school next season. As a sophomore, Figueroa racked up 14.4 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 1.7 assists per contest while shooting 38 percent from deep and 51 percent from the field. There will likely be a number of teams eyeing his services, so there's a good chance he will have a new home next season.

Figeuroa claims his ankle is healthy and it is not a concern, Zach Braziller of the New York Post reports.

The sophomore forward was injured late in Tuesday's game against Villanova, but after a couple days of rest the underclassman has declared himself healthy and ready to go. He should be a full participant in Saturday's hosting of DePaul as he seeks to extend his run of three straight games in double figure scoring.
